Not quite heading into the championship finals (yet 👀), but keen to take your cosplay beyond the parade? Cosplay & Skit is AniMayhem’s ultimate stage for rising stars! 🌟

Whether you’ve crafted an incredible build or want to bring the PLAY into cosplay with a full-on skit, this is your moment to shine. Step into the spotlight, show off your skills, and face off with fellow cosplayers in a fun, supportive, and hype-filled environment! 🔥

🎭 How to Join the Stage:

Cosplay & Skit is open to solo and group entrants ready to make their moment count. You’ll need to sign up online to secure your spot in the lineup!

Entries close Sunday the week before the show – but beware… spots are limited and may vanish faster than a ninja in smoke 💨 So don’t wait too long to lock in your place!

Due to limited capacity, no on-the-day sign-ups or additions will be accepted.

This event takes place on Sunday at AniMayhem – the perfect finale to your convention arc! ✨

Lights. Music. Action. Your cosplay story starts here! 🎬🔥

Before you take the stage, here’s how your mission begins:

  • Check in at the Cosplay Registration Desk (Cosplay Area) before 1:00PM to confirm your spot in the lineup.
  • Your exact call times will be revealed closer to the day – stay alert for your briefing! 👀
  • You’ll need to report to marshalling 30 minutes before showtime – no late hero entrances!
  • By hitting “Submit,” you’re agreeing to all AniMayhem event rules (the sacred scrolls 📜).


No skit? No problem! You’ll be interviewed by the MC instead – so be ready to answer in character or show off your cosplay knowledge! 🎤✨
⚠️ Applications close 1 week before the show (or earlier if all spots are filled – and they go fast 💨).
⚠️ No skits or music submissions will be accepted on the day. You may be asked to say something in character, so come prepared!

Every great hero follows the code – here’s yours:

🎭 Skits (Optional but iconic!)

  • Skits must be 2 minutes or less – or they’ll be cut off mid-scene! ⏱️
  • Keep it PG – this is a family-friendly world 🌈
  • No live audio – all sound must be pre-recorded and submitted in advance 🎧
  • No acrobatics (yes, even if you can backflip 😭)
  • No mess hazards – including water, glitter, petals, or anything slippery. If it goes on stage, it must come off!
  • Props & special effects must be pre-approved (include them in your skit description!)
  • Background music/audio must be submitted at least 1 week prior – no exceptions 🎶
  • No inappropriate language, gestures, or themes – this includes costumes, props, and dialogue 🚫
  • No political or religious statements during performance or judging

 

👘 Costume Guidelines

  • Costumes must not promote alcohol, drugs, tobacco, weapons, unsafe behaviour, or political agendas
  • No offensive, obscene, or hateful content – keep it respectful ✨
  • No defamation or negative references to AniMayhem, other guests, or exhibitors
  • No nudity – all costumes must be public-appropriate and family-friendly
  • Excessive gore or graphic elements may result in disqualification

 

🏆 Competition Details

  • Bought costumes are allowed, but are only eligible for Best Skit
  • Cosplays must be based on anime, manga, or related themes (OCs, mashups, and interpretations are welcome!) 🎌
  • Previously award-winning costumes are not eligible for prizes this time around
